EDU 2410-Educational Law and Policy
This class seemed very daunting when I first signed up for it. I envisioned a hardcore educational law expert lawyer as a teacher, and memorizing and repeating from memory specific educational laws. I have never been happier to say that I was so completely wrong about something! I loved this class! My professor shared personal experiences, had us hypothesize about possible issues or outcomes, had us defend what we would do in certain real-life situations, and had a great learning atmosphere in the class. My favorite project was the group project. Each group was assigned a real-life scenario that we must decide what we would do, why, and what laws support that decision. My group was assigned a scenario that combined a relatively superficial issue with a very complicated issue, and the final product is provided below.
