Standard 5: Assessment
-The teacher uses multiple methods of assessment to engage learners in their own growth, monitor learner progress, guide planning and instruction, and determine whether the outcomes described in content standards have been met.
I use multiple assessments to guide my instruction and help students achieve scholastic proficiency. Through formative assessments, both informal and formal, I gather information about concepts students are struggling with and form instructional interventions. Through benchmark testing, I get data about which content standards are mastered, on level, or needs support. I use that information to help guide small group instruction and tailor my instruction to the areas most students need the most help in.
